Family and Friends,

Another season has arrived and this year, our offerings are being presented “To Dallas, with Love!” The most recent season marked our return to “in person” theater and it came with its highs and lows; from sold out performances for one production to an early cancellation of another due to a Covid outbreak among our cast and crew. We even held a red carpet preview of our latest short film, a true highlight of the season!

Our biggest highlight however was the outpouring of support from so many of you — patrons, funders, and community advocates. Your support through attendance, ambassadorship, and contributions was a huge encourager and sustained our pivot back to live theater. Thank you so much for joining us in this important, artistic work!

With that, we’re showing our LOVE for our great city that we believe offers some of the most exciting theater in the country, with our newest season. For 2022- 2023, we will offer a regional premiere of a fantastic historical drama inspired by Jim Schutze’s groundbreaking book, THE ACCOMMODATION; a flirty comedy duet about a middle aged couple’s sex life; a reading of a world premiere play Soul Rep’s commissioned that marks our inaugural TUCKER NEW WORKS PROJECT (made possible by TACA); and several world premiere comedic shorts in our biennial SHINE PLAY FESTIVAL that will also include the reading of co-founder, Anyika McMillan-Herod’s, newest play.

Additionally, we are in the midst of expanding our organizational capacity, implementing the second year of our newest strategic plan, and spreading our reach through dynamic collaborations and our recently published collection of 22 of our original works - COMMON THREADS.

Thank you so much for choosing to experience Soul Rep Theatre Company. We look forward to another year of playing, growing, and healing our community through the beautiful and powerful craft of theater!
