Soul Rep has established a new, comprehensive arts education program for youth inspired by Augusto Boal’s “Theatre of the Oppressed.” This new, curriculum based youth program is being piloted at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts for the 2021-2022 school year. The goal of this new program is to cultivate activist student theatre that empowers youth to utilize the craft as a platform for their artistic voice and social justice.
